Salzgitter

Picturesque lakeside district

Wisdom from Goethe and Schiller, the municipal mascot Salty or smiling families: colorful works of art have been created from six grey electricity distribution boxes.

Under the project management of the Seevierteltreff and Wohnbau, residents of the Seeviertel have made a special contribution to their neighborhood.

The artistic premiere in Steterburg last year was the model for the campaign in the Seeviertel: the artist Nicole de la Cruz initiated the project in Steterburg via the disposition fund and cleaned, painted or sprayed the electricity distribution boxes with children and adults. This was so well received outside the neighborhood that the artist received further requests. "I'm delighted that the great idea from Steterburg is also being implemented in the Seeviertel district," says artist Nicole Brito de la Cruz.

The project was managed by Seevierteiltreff and Wohnbau Salzgitter. WEVG released the electricity distribution boxes and covered the costs of the project. Children and adults in the Seeviertel district were quickly found to clean the electricity distribution boxes in their free time under the direction of the artist, who then gave them a colorful makeover. Everyone involved received a lot of positive feedback during the painting campaign. Everyone is now delighted with the colorful result.

In reference to Schillerstrasse and Goethestrasse, the poets are represented with a quote on two electricity distribution boxes. There are also two colorful eye-catchers and the city's mascot Salty. All participating cooperation partners are represented with their logo on the sixth electricity distribution box.

An artistic joint project by the people and for the people in the Seeviertel district, who can now embark on a colorful search for clues and, thanks to the quotes from Goethe and Schiller, get some wisdom along the way....
