Apparently, a private company based in Berlin advertises its collection services nationwide using the name of the respective public waste disposal authority, which leads to queries and complaints from citizens to the public authorities.

The SRB Salzgitter was recently notified of further cases in which this company collected the bulky waste registered by a private individual after 8 p.m. and demanded a large sum of money in cash.

The bulky waste appointments, which are agreed with SRB Salzgitter exclusively in writing, take place during normal working hours on weekdays, usually between 7.00 am and 3.30 pm, never in the evening after 8.00 pm. The fees will be charged in writing afterwards by means of a fee notice; under no circumstances will payment be made in cash on site.
