Salzgitter

New episode of the short film series from Salder Castle for children

On January 28, 12 noon, another episode from the series for children "Short visit - Highlights at Salder Castle Municipal Museum" will be released.

Christine Kellner-Depner stands in a life scene in the medieval section of the Salder Castle Municipal Museum.

The film can be seen on the city's YouTube channel. It was produced by the city of Salzgitter's Medienzentrum.

In the third episode, museum educator and archaeologist Christine Kellner-Depner returns to the medieval exhibition area. She talks about the life of the monk Gregorius. He was a Benedictine monk and may have lived in Ringelheim Monastery in the 13th century. In the film, the museum educator explains why Gregorius carried a knife on his leather belt or why his hairstyle was just a crown of hair, a so-called tonsure.

In other entertaining episodes, Christine Kellner-Depner brings cultural education to life every month in digital guided tours. The short films are intended to inspire children to come to the museum with their parents or grandparents free of charge and discover and experience the history of the Salzgitter region up close.
