An energy consultant from Verbraucherzentale Niedersachsen will first provide basic knowledge about generating solar power on your own roof. After the presentation, participants can ask their questions live to other advisors in smaller groups. For example, they can ask about technical and economic aspects, their own electricity consumption and the feed-in tariff.

In addition, individual questions relating to specific circumstances in their own home can be put to the experts.

"Only by switching to renewable energies can we protect our climate and gain security of supply. We need sufficient electricity from renewable energy sources to use heat pumps and electromobility. Well-informed people can make the right decisions for their own home or balcony. We want to contribute to this in this joint event with the Lower Saxony Consumer Advice Center and the Lower Saxony Climate Protection and Energy Agency," affirms Jan Holzenbecher, Climate Protection Manager for the city of Salzgitter.
