Citizens' trip to Swindon and Bath - discover the twin towns of Salzgitter and Braunschweig

From April 7 to 14, 2025, the tour operator Ulli-Reisen is offering a coach trip to Swindon and Bath in Great Britain in cooperation with the cities of Salzgitter and Braunschweig.

Participants can look forward to a varied program in Salzgitter's twin city Swindon and in Bath, Braunschweig's twin city. In addition to many architectural sights, there are wonderful parks and gardens and impressive stately homes to explore and culture vultures can follow in the footsteps of the writer Jane Austen. Located in the west of England in the county of Somerset, around 20 kilometers from Bristol, the city of Bath is known for its Roman baths and as a spa and tourist center and is a worthwhile destination for culture enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. An official reception for the tour group in Bath's historic town hall, the Guildhall, is also part of the itinerary.

The town of Swindon in the county of Wiltshire is located on the European Route of Industrial Heritage and showcases the town's rich railroad heritage with the STEAM Museum. Here too, the group will be officially welcomed at Swindon Town Hall.

Excursions to the mystical stone circles of Avenbury and Stonehenge, visits to the historic estates and gardens at Castle Combe and Montacute House and street art by the artist Banksy in Bristol round off the trip. The tour group will be accompanied by a German-speaking tour guide.

Further details on the travel program and the costs (from 1,445 euros) can be obtained from the tour operator or in the flyer (see downloads below).
