Timo Steinbrück, the head of the Building Regulations and Monument Protection department, adds: "This online service makes the day-to-day work of my employees in the Building Regulations department much easier."

Online building applications are just one of many public services that have already been digitized. Head of Digitalization Jan Erik Bohling emphasizes: "In March 2023, we launched the service portal, where all of our administration's online services can be found bundled together. Many more will be added in the coming months. One important area is vehicle registrations, owner changes and deregistrations. Our aim is to make these services available to citizens as easily as possible and without any unnecessary journeys.
