The Department for Integration is taking part in the nationwide events with a cabaret program: Senay Duzcu presents her "Drama Türkin":

About the content: "A "drama" - that is for the rebelliously refreshing and profound comedy Turk Senay Duzcu, Turkish stand-up comedian, that she is not a typical Turk. This is a drama for her society! But every attempt to put a conventional stamp on her fails: as a German-Turkish woman, she is "too modern" for the old-fashioned, "too traditional" for the younger generation and "too emancipated" for men as an independent woman.

In her program, she also explains that it was a drama for her family that she did not become a typical Turkish woman. Her parents would have liked her to become a proper housewife and marry a Turkish man. Because she couldn't achieve all of this as a woman, she was always the black sheep of the family. All her experiences brought her extremely funny situations, which she tells and laughs about on stage.

In 2007, Duzcu received the German-Turkish Friendship Award in the field of culture and has been one of the best comedy migrants in the country for many years."

On Wednesday, September 24, Senay Duzcu will perform her cabaret program "Drama Türkin" at 6 p.m. in the Kulturscheune in Lebenstedt (Thiestraße 22). Admission is from 5.30 pm.
