Salzgitter

Lots of applause for huge talents!

This year, the children from Salzgitter once again had the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the "Circus Fun" hands-on circus. Together with the circus artists, they practiced their respective circus acts for a week and performed them in the gala performance on Friday.

Following the two successful FETSZ weeks, the city park on the grounds of the Graffiti children's and youth club (KJT) was once again transformed into a colorful circus world. The municipal children and youth development department of the city of Salzgitter once again hosted the popular circus week with the "Circus Fun" hands-on circus. Around 80 children from all over Salzgitter were given the opportunity to actively immerse themselves in the world of artistry, juggling and clowning for five days.

The children were divided into different groups to learn the respective circus acts. Whether aerial or floor acrobatics, performing as a clown or as a fire artist: there was something for every child. In the days that followed, they practiced diligently and some children even spent their free time preparing for their big performance at the gala show in front of a large audience.

When they weren't practising, they could do handicrafts or play. Sports enthusiasts had the opportunity to play soccer every day or drive around the children's and youth center with the Dinocars. Inline skating was also very popular. There were also various activities for creative children, such as making key rings, painting candles or making necklaces.

Fun during training: One of this year's floor gymnasts Eileen Woewutko is practicing hard for the big performance.

On Friday, the time had come: the grand finale was imminent. In the morning, the final details were discussed at the dress rehearsal and after the midday snack, the final preparations began.

All the staff were busy dressing and applying make-up to the children, hair was styled and moustaches were painted on.

At 4 p.m., the lights went out, the music came on and the first group entered the ring. The guests clapped and whistled to the individual performances.

At the end of the performance, the young artists received a long round of applause.

The children and guests were just as enthusiastic about this vacation week as the circus and KJT team. Everyone is already looking forward to next year....
