Senior Centers in Salzgitter-Bad and Thiede: Staying Safe Through Self-Assertion

The Senior Citizens’ Office of the City of Salzgitter has invited Michael Blank, a former trainer and conflict manager with the state police, to teach seniors on Friday, September 11, and Friday, September 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day, to teach seniors in his course “Staying Safe Through Self-Assertion” how to stand up for themselves through the use of body language and voice, and how to defend themselves if the need arises.

In everyday life, Blank says, you can quickly and unexpectedly find yourself in tricky situations where you have to stand your ground—and, if necessary, even defend yourself—against others.

The Senior Citizens’ Office is offering the course twice: on September 11 at the Thiede Senior Center, located at Pappeldamm 76, and on September 18 at the Salzgitter-Bad Senior Center, located at Braunschweiger Straße 137a.

A fee of 5 euros is due upon registration. For more information and to register: either in person at the Salzgitter-Bad Senior Center or by phone at 05341/839-2230.
