Salzgitter

Single point of contact

The EU Services Directive stipulates that a central point of contact - the so-called "Point of Single Contact (SPC)" - is to be set up in each member state. It is intended in particular to help EU foreigners who want to provide their services or set up a business in a member state other than their country of origin. However, it is also available to domestic companies.

Description

Description

The "Single Point of Contact" is therefore the first point of contact and procedural intermediary with regard to the administrative procedures required to take up and exercise a service activity or to establish a branch. This task has been largely municipalized in Lower Saxony. For the City of Salzgitter, the Department of Participation, Economics and Statistics assumes the role of the EA. The Single Point of Contact in the Department of Participation, Economics and Statistics began its work on 28.12.2009.
