Sunday and public holiday exemptions Issuance in the itinerant trade

Description

Description

Anyone operating a traveling trade must generally observe the provisions of the law on store closing times (LadSchlG) and the Lower Saxony law on public holidays (NFeiertagsG). An exception to the Sunday and public holiday rest period applies to the offering (offering for sale) of goods and to catering activities in the itinerant trade. The exemption provisions also apply to self-employed tradespeople who visit other people as part of their business operations.

Further exceptions must be expressly approved by the competent authority upon written application.
