Description
Emergency rescue involves carrying out the necessary medical measures at the scene in the case of life-threatening injuries or illnesses and in the case of people who are likely to suffer serious damage to their health if they do not receive immediate medical care, making these people fit for transportation and, if necessary, transporting them to a suitable treatment facility for further care with specialist care using rescue equipment equipped for this purpose.
Emergency rescue is primarily provided by the ground-based rescue service and supplemented by the state's air rescue service.
Ensuring that the population is provided with emergency rescue services in line with their needs is the responsibility of the responsible authorities. If you have an emergency or are in a life-threatening situation, call 112 immediately.
