Description
Social-educational family support takes place directly within the family and in their home. The family receives assistance with everyday issues and through therapeutic processing of problematic situations. To this end, a social-educational specialist visits the family regularly for several hours each week. The support is tailored to the family’s specific daily life.
Social-pedagogical family assistance is particularly helpful for single parents who are under significant strain from managing the day-to-day demands of family life.
Individual goals are developed with the family, based on the specific resources and abilities of each family member. Goals may include:
- Restoring and strengthening parenting skills
- Identifying the strengths and abilities of individual family members
- Support in managing daily life
- Building self-esteem
- Strengthening conflict resolution skills
- Improving Relationships Among Family Members
