Use of the "blue waste paper garbage can" is voluntary and free of charge. Every household (property owner) in Salzgitter is free to decide whether to accept the additional offer. Households that do not have sufficient space for an additional garbage can or do not wish to use it for other reasons can continue to dispose of their waste paper via the existing collection systems at the recycling container sites.

The household waste paper garbage can is available in 120 liter and 240 liter container sizes.
The application is made in writing by the property owner either via the online form (online form see below) or via the registration form (registration form see download).
The provision and emptying of the paper garbage can is free of charge.
Emptying is offered once a month. The bin must be placed at the side of the road by 7.00 a.m. on the collection day. See downloads for collection dates

Waste paper is a valuable raw material. The recycling of waste paper requires good quality. When filling the paper garbage can, please ensure that only clean paper or cardboard is disposed of. Contaminants such as metal, plastic or other waste have a negative impact on the recycling process and therefore do not belong in the waste paper garbage can.
