The disposal of waste and therefore also waste paper from private households is the responsibility of the public waste disposal authorities. These are the districts and independent cities.
Waste paper collections can also be carried out by commercial or non-profit providers (commercial or non-profit collection).
Regulations on the disposal of waste paper are laid down in the individual waste disposal statutes and fee statutes.
These include information on waste fees, waste calendars (collection intervals) and existing collection and delivery systems (blue garbage can, paper containers, recycling centers). PPK packaging is collected together with the above-mentioned waste paper.
