Apply for participation in social group work

Description

Description

Some children and young people have problems.
For example:

  • Developmental problems
  • Behavioral problems
  • Violence problems

Does your child need help?
And the child should take part in a group help program?
Do you have custody of the child?
That means
You have to look after the child.
But you can't always look after the child.

The children and young people can then get help.
This help is called social group work.
The children and young people meet in groups.
Specialists lead the meetings.
The aim is for the children and young people to learn:

  • How can you be good with other people?
  • How can they be self-confident?
  • How can problems be solved without violence?

Young adults can also receive this help.

You have to apply for it.
The application is called: educational support.

Participation in social group work is intended to help older children and young people overcome developmental difficulties and behavioral problems.

Social group work can be useful for children and young people if they

  • repeatedly get into violent confrontations,
  • have little self-confidence and behave conspicuously,
  • are unable to assert themselves.

In social group work, older children and young people meet regularly under the guidance of trained educational staff.

Social group work encourages social learning. It provides positive experiences, adventures and insights and thus promotes respect for others and self-confidence. In this way, the young person should become an independent and socially competent personality.

Objectives and content depend on the topic of the social group work. Contents can include

  • Development of group dynamics,
  • Recognizing the triggers of one's own anger and aggression,
  • recognizing and expressing your own feelings,
  • perceiving and recognizing your own and others' boundaries,
  • Resolving conflicts peacefully.

This is a type of educational support service. It can also apply to young adults.
