About the book:
Jean Tobelmann, a third-generation restaurateur, has an idiosyncratic regular - the young Sourie is passionately serious about exploring what most people prefer to keep quiet about: the end of life. Why? Tobelmann gets to the bottom of the humorous eccentric's story and discovers something that could not be more understandable and at the same time more incomprehensible, something that goes far beyond Sourie's amour fou with their mutual friend Tessa and the bond between the two men.
Husch Josten tells of life's pitfalls in a light-hearted way, with subtle irony and a gift for observation. Of true friendship, wrong decisions, the search for meaning and of love - our only weapon against mortality.
