On the exhibition theme "Confusion"
Confusion is more than just bewilderment—it is an artistic principle. The artists featured in this year’s Salon Salder challenge certainties, shift perspectives, and assemble fragments of reality into new visual worlds. An exhibition that brings to light the contradictions of our time and opens up new perspectives.
Also on display are works by Gerd Winner, who sadly passed away this past April.

Navigating Confusion Together
Lena Hammer | Art Educator
What exactly is confusion, and can we tackle it together? After a child-friendly discovery tour of the exhibition, we’ll play a group “chaos game.” Through creative craft activities, little puzzles, and plenty of teamwork, we’ll master tricky challenges and gradually bring order to the chaos. This will require imagination, teamwork, and good ideas!
Note: You’re welcome to bring a drink and a snack to keep your energy up.
Yoga and Art for Teens and Adults

Navigating Confusion Together
Elisabeth Stumpf – Artist and Art Educator
When everything is happening at once and your mind can’t settle down: This two-day workshop invites teens and adults to consciously pause and find new clarity.
Accompanying the exhibition “Confusion” at Salon Salder, this workshop combines yoga, meditation, and artistic inspiration. The goal is to reconnect with yourself, organize your thoughts, and give space to your own expression—without any pressure to perform or prior experience required.
The workshop is led by Elisabeth Kilala Stumpf, who creates an open environment in which everyone can discover their own path to calm, creativity, and mindfulness.
For adults and teens ages 12 and up
(If possible, please bring a yoga mat, a (sitting) cushion, a blanket, and comfortable clothing.)

From Confusion to Order
Lena Hammer – Art Educator
How can confusion be captured in words and images?
Through short creative writing prompts, participants will first approach the topic individually and then explore the exhibition through group discussion.
Afterward, they create collages as a visual search for clues, before exploring the opposite concept—order—through creative writing. A workshop that blends expression, reflection, and creation.
Dialogic Leadership
October 18, 2026 | 11:30 a.m.
Confusion in Conversation
Lena Hammer – Art Educator
What does confusion mean in art, in our everyday lives, and within ourselves? Together with visitors, we’ll explore the works through an open dialogue and examine both personal and societal facets of disorder, chance, and resistance to order.
