On the exhibition theme "Confusion"
Confusion is more than just bewilderment—it is an artistic principle. The artists featured in this year’s Salon Salder challenge certainties, shift perspectives, and assemble fragments of reality into new visual worlds. An exhibition that brings to light the contradictions of our time and opens up new perspectives.
Also on display are works by Gerd Winner, who sadly passed away this past April.

Navigating Confusion Together

What exactly is confusion, and can we tackle it together? After a child-friendly discovery tour of the exhibition, we’ll play a group “chaos” game. Through creative arts-and-crafts activities, little puzzles, and plenty of teamwork, we’ll master tricky challenges and, step by step, bring order to the chaos. This will require imagination, teamwork, and good ideas!
Note: You’re welcome to bring a drink and a snack to keep your energy up.

From Confusion to Order

How can confusion be captured in words and images?
Through brief creative writing prompts, participants will first approach the topic individually and then explore the exhibition through group discussion.
Afterward, they create collages as a visual search for clues, before exploring the opposite concept—order—through creative writing. A workshop that blends expression, reflection, and creativity.

What does confusion mean in art, in our everyday lives, and within ourselves? Together with visitors, we’ll explore the works through an open dialogue and examine both personal and societal facets of disorder, chance, and resistance to order.
