Socio-educational services

The social education services of the Children, Youth and Family Department advise and support families with parenting issues and problems. We are also home to the foster care service and the topic of adoptions.

The youth welfare office supports children, young people and their parents. The best interests of the child are at the heart of its advice on educational matters.

Our consulting services:

The socio-educational specialists advise and support parents/single parents in the exercise of personal care. If necessary, an application can be made for educational assistance.

They also advise on separation and divorce-related issues relating to custody and contact arrangements.

They are involvedin proceedings before the family and guardianship courts (custody and contact arrangements, etc.) as well as the juvenile courts (juvenile assistance in criminal proceedings).

They also advise on issues relating to possible mental disabilities. This includes, for example, learning therapies, autism therapy and school support (integration assistance in accordance with Section 35a SGB VIII).

They also work in the field of adoption and foster care and issue foster care permits.
