Salzgitter

Construction work has begun

The so-called Seeweg axis is to become even more beautiful and strengthen the connection between Salzgitter-Lebenstedt city center and Salzgittersee.

Framework plan for the sea route axis.

The Seeweg axis is the pedestrian connection between Kattowitzer Straße, Neißestraße and Albert-Schweitzer-Straße.

In the first construction phase, the paths and their side areas between the entrance to Wilhelm-Kunze-Ring 1 to 7 and east of the Wilhelm-Kunze-Ring daycare center are currently being designed. The construction site area is secured with construction fences.

Some of the paths cannot be used. Slightly longer routes are available via the parallel streets Wilhelm-Kunze-Ring, Sudermannstraße, Neißestraße and Goethestraße.

The city of Salzgitter asks for your understanding for the restrictions and asks you to use the paths around the construction site.

Parkweg (Sommerweg) closed.

For safety reasons, it is forbidden to enter the construction site areas.

The construction work in the first construction phase is expected to last until December 2016.

The construction work that has now begun will create open spaces that can be used for multiple purposes and have a high-quality design.

The paths will be designed in accordance with the specifications of the urban development concept for the Seeviertel district.

Suggestions and ideas from local residents have been incorporated, as have the various requirements and specifications of users and emergency services.
