Participants follow in the footsteps of the old herb women and men and revive the tradition of the "Frauendreißiger" (mid-August to mid-September): August 15 is traditionally the day to wind a bunch of herbs, which contains herbs that are now particularly medicinal for the coming winter. These can be used for incense, healing teas or fragrant jewelry. In the following 30 days, the herbal stock for the medicine chest is collected according to ancient, traditional knowledge - as on this hike.

Information: The "herb hike" takes place on Saturday, August 16, from 10.30 am to 2.15 pm and costs 17 euros. The meeting point is at 10.30 am in the parking lot at the sports field in Groß Elbe. Weatherproof clothing, sturdy shoes and some provisions are required. Any material costs incurred will be settled with the course leader.
