The children, in particular, are thrilled: The “Unter den Eichen” playground is finished and has turned out just as beautiful as the girls and boys were told it would be at the groundbreaking ceremony…

The result is a lovely new space for all generations, featuring a diverse range of play, sports, and recreational areas: Many activity elements, such as climbing rocks, a nest swing, and a sand play area with a mud table; a rolling track that can be used by all age groups; a picnic bench and a chill-out corner; various seating options for all generations; and many other features.

This will be celebrated with a big play festival, hosted by the St. Bernward Family Centers, the Stiftsmäuse, the Steterburg Elementary School, the Thiede Book Club, the Steterburg Neighborhood Management, and the Department of Social City and Urban Redevelopment of the City of Salzgitter.

Adults are, of course, welcome to come along, too...
