• Copy of the residence permit required for the registered activity.

For companies/associations entered in the commercial, cooperative or association register of the local court:

• Copy of the current/complete extract from the register; if the legal entity is not yet entered in the commercial register, submission of the notarized notarial deed/partnership agreement is required; a declaration by the founders/partners that the company is permitted to exercise a trade prior to entry in the commercial register must also be submitted. In the case of a GmbH & Co. KG, the extract from the commercial register of the general partner GmbH is also required.

For foreign legal entities:

• Certified register entry and articles of association as well as translation into German by a licensed interpreter, company letterhead, any powers of attorney from legal representatives.

For craftsmen:

• Proof of entry in the trade register/trade card.

For activities requiring a permit:

• Copy of the relevant permit or license.

Business registration 48.75 euros.

Business re-registration and business deregistration 32.50 euros.

When registering certain activities, such as:
1. trading in high-value goods (jewelry, precious metals, computers or consumer electronics...)
2. credit agencies and detective agencies
3. arranging marriages or partnerships
4. operation of travel agencies and accommodation agencies

a certificate of good conduct and an extract from the trade register must also be applied for from your local residents' registration office.
