Reservations for the ambience wedding venues (Fürstensaal in Salder Castle, Lichtenberg Castle, Taubenturm in Ringelheim, manor house in Gebhardshagen moated castle) can only be made with reservations, however, as the respective wedding venue must also be involved. In principle, a desired date can only be bindingly agreed or reserved with the actual registration of the marriage, which is only valid for six months.

However, exceptions to this six-month period are permitted and desired dates can be reserved 12 months in advance (so-called reservation). This reservation will be canceled five months before the desired date if the couple does not contact the registry office within four weeks before the automatic cancellation to confirm the date and discuss the further procedure. The Citizens' Services and Order Department is thus responding to the increasing tendency of couples wishing to get married to want to prepare this special day in detail over an appropriate planning period.

For reservations made within the six months prior to the planned marriage, this reservation will be maintained for four weeks. The bridal couple must also contact the registry office within this period, otherwise the date will be released for a new reservation. As soon as the registry office has received the registration, the desired date can be bindingly reserved.
