Apply for compensation under the Infection Protection Act for uncovered operating costs

Have you had to close your business or practice due to a ban on activities or quarantine? Here you will find information on how to obtain reimbursement of ongoing uncovered operating costs.

Description

Description

In the event of a ban on work or quarantine, as a self-employed person you are entitled not only to compensation for loss of earnings but also to reimbursement of any operating expenses that are not covered, such as rent or loans. This only applies to operating costs that cannot be avoided.

You must also keep operating costs as low as possible, and reimbursement is made to a reasonable extent.

This is a so-called "optional benefit". This means that the authority has leeway to assess whether there is an entitlement and how high it is.
