Applications for acute flood aid can be submitted until March 22

The applications for acute flood aid from the state of Lower Saxony are available for download and must be submitted to the Environment Department by March 22, 2024.

The professional fire department of the city of Salzgitter was deployed in several parts of the city.

Following the release of funds for acute flood aid to private households by the state of Lower Saxony, the state's corresponding funding guidelines for private individuals who have found themselves in an acute emergency situation as a result of the floods have come into force.

  • The emergency aid is intended as a contribution to financial bridging for acute emergencies - for example, in private accommodation or in the way of life through necessary purchases of household items (household contents) or other measures.
  • Financial support to repair damage to buildings, agricultural land or businesses cannot be provided under this guideline for acute emergencies.

Important: The application must be received by the City of Salzgitter, Department of the Environment, Joachim-Campe-Straße 6-8, 38226 Salzgitter or umweltstadt.salzgitterde by March 22, 2024.
