Council meeting on May 20

On May 20, a public meeting of the Salzgitter City Council was held exceptionally at the Hotel am See in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt from 4 pm.

At the beginning of the meeting, three current questions from residents on the topics of "Dog meadow at Salzgittersee", "Amusement tax statutes" and "Registration of foreign vehicles" were answered by the administration during residents' question time.

Under the agenda item "Proposed resolutions by the administration", the members of the Council voted on the proposals as follows:

  • Resolved unanimously: Sports funding; adjustment of contracts between the city of Salzgitter and the district sports association, 4539/18
  • Resolved unanimously: Bäder, Sport und Freizeit Salzgitter GmbH; adjustment of the guidelines of the City of Salzgitter for grants to promote
    of sports clubs (sports funding guidelines) - here: Permanent granting of subsidies for training costs

  • unanimously resolved: Granting of an annual subsidy with contractual obligation to the Förderverein Burg Lichtenberg e. V. as a cultural institution, 4462/18
  • Resolved unanimously: Adaptation of the integrated action concept for the overall urban development measure "Soziale Stadt Steterburg" in the urban development redevelopment program "Social Cohesion" (until 2020 Social City), 4515/18
  • adopted unanimously: Development plan Rgh 20 for SZ-Ringelheim "Nordost" with local building regulations on design; resolution to approve, 4064/18
  • Resolved unanimously: Development plan Leb 165 for SZ-Lebenstedt "Former goods station - West"; resolution on the articles of association, 4112/18
  • Resolved unanimously: Appointment of Mr. Walter Wimmer as Commissioner for Nature Conservation and Landscape Management pursuant to Section 34 of the Lower Saxony Nature Conservation Act (NNatSchG) for a further five years, 4267/18
  • Resolved unanimously: Development plan Bad 124 for Salzgitter-Bad, "Tagesklinik Hinter dem Salze"; resolution on the statutes; statutes on the partial revocation of the "Local building regulations on the design of the city of Salzgitter for the preservation and design of the townscape of the old town of Salzgitter-Bad"; resolution on the statutes, 4304/18
  • adopted by a majority: Municipal heat planning for the city of Salzgitter, 4375/18
  • Not adopted: Amendment to BV 4375/18 regarding: "Municipal heat planning for the city of Salzgitter", 4673/18
  • Station framework planning for the Salzgitter-Thiede railroad stop; decision on the preferred variant and award of supplementary contracts, 4422/18
  • Resolved unanimously: Amendment to draft resolution 4422/18: "Station framework planning for the Salzgitter-Thiede rail stop; decision on the preferred option and award of supplementary contracts"

  • passed unanimously: Revision of the scale of fees for parking at parking meters and parking ticket machines in the city of Salzgitter (parking fee scale), 4538/18

The council members were then informed about the financial participation of the district of Wolfenbüttel in the transport of KVG mbH Braunschweig in the district of Wolfenbüttel in a communication document.

This is followed by the motions (and in some cases amendments) submitted to the Council by the parliamentary groups. The following motions and amendments were adopted:

At the end of the meeting, the agenda item "Questions and answers to questions" followed.
