In addition to the two Ortsheimatpfleger Jörg Langenberg (Bleckenstedt) and Klaus Karrasch (Hallendorf) as well as Torsten Stomowski, a member of the East Local Council, Maike Weth from the town history working group, Dietrich Leptien from the SRB and Frank Täge from the Salder forestry office were also on site.

Jörg Langenberg explained the reason for the memorial stone: "Terrible things happened here that we want to remember. The camp manager and the guards were sadistic and inhumane. Mr. Karrasch and I are very grateful to everyone who was involved in erecting the memorial stone.
