Initiative for training
The SRB has been a certified member of the "Initiative for Training" since March 20, 2010. By becoming a member, the SRB undertakes to comply with 12 criteria that guarantee a special quality of training.
The basis of the training promise of all participating companies is a serious decision: We don't just want to be a good training company, we want to be a TOP training company. And to ensure that this claim can be verified, there are 12 criteria that all trainees can rely on:
The basis
There is a fixed contact person for the trainees in the company.
- Apprentices are paid in line with the collective agreement.
- The company keeps an hourly account.
- The company provides exemplary equipment with weatherproof clothing, personal protective equipment and a trainee toolbox
The way
- The trainer and boss make time for regular apprentice meetings. The training plan is discussed in detail twice a year.
- The use of feedback forms for trainees makes it easier to share praise and criticism and to learn from it.
The team
- Joint activities are offered for the trainees. Trainee days or specialist excursions promote team building.
- The trainees also get to know other partner companies during a two-week trainee exchange.
Awakening independence - Apprentices are given their own areas of responsibility in the workshop, yard and outdoor facilities, which they manage independently.
- A trainee construction site or a special trainee project in the 3rd year of training offers the opportunity to try out independent work.
Promoting development
- The company actively promotes professional development through additional learning opportunities and practical exercises.
- Regular plant tests promote the trainees' plant knowledge and contribute to good examination results.
- The trainers take part in annual training courses offered by the initiative or the VGL.
