Salzgitter

Salzgitter-Salder bypass

At its meeting on March 28, the administrative committee of the city of Salzgitter commissioned the administration to conclude an engineering contract for a feasibility study for a Salzgitter-Salder bypass.

The local roads through Salzgitter-Salder along the state roads 636 and 472 (L 636 and L 472) are relatively heavily congested, as stated in the corresponding draft resolution. Particularly on the L 472, which runs through the narrow historic town center (Museumstraße), the traffic congestion, especially from heavy goods vehicles, is very disruptive and leads to latent dangers.
