If you wish to operate a restaurant, you must notify the competent authority in writing four weeks before the start of operation. This also applies if the restaurant is only to be operated for a short period of time. Depending on the country and state regulation, you must provide additional information on alcoholic beverages or prepared food in addition to the business notification in accordance with § 14 Para. 1 GewO.

Accordingly, you must state the type of business and whether you intend to offer alcoholic beverages.
