Parents often ask themselves questions such as: "What can I do to help my child learn to speak?" How can I best support my child's language development?"
Brochure "A guide for families"
In cooperation with the Paritätischer Sprachheilkindergarten Wirbelwind, the language officer and the daycare center advisory service of the city of Salzgitter, an orientation guide for parents in the form of two different brochures with the same title "An orientation guide for families" has therefore been created as part of the language promotion project "Living language and speech":
When creating the information booklets, the employees of the specialist service for children, young people and families were faced with the questions of how to reach parents who are not so proficient in German or simply do not understand many technical terms, or how many translations in which language are necessary.
From the point of view of language promotion, the idea arose to produce the low-threshold information brochure in "Easy German" instead of a comprehensive brochure in several languages. The "Office for Easy Language" at Lebenshilfe Braunschweig took on the task of "translating" the text of the 29-page brochure. The result is a booklet in a smaller, handy format.
