Ice swimming and targeted cold training are in vogue - as a method of health promotion, mental strengthening and stress management. This seminar provides in-depth knowledge of the physiological, psychological and safety aspects of ice swimming.

Contents: History of ice swimming; health aspects of cold training; therapeutic approaches to burn-out and stress; basics of toughening up; development of cold acclimatization; signs of hypothermia and others.

The lecture "Cold acclimatization and cold training" will take place on Friday, December 12, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Volkshochschule in Lebenstedt (Thiestraße 26a) and costs 12 euros.

The practice will be taught in separate sessions.
